Swami Tattwamayananda on Mother Worship

Durga Puja 2013 in San Jose, CA was organized by The Vedanta Society of Berkeley. Afterwards, Swami Tattwamayananda gave a short lecture on mother worship.

When you objectify God as mother, you can ask for material prosperity. BHUKTI MUKTI PRADAAYINI is a mantra in tantra, which is translated as follows: Mother provides both bhukti (enjoyments) and mukti (liberation).

Vedanta Societies throughout USA are run by the monks of the Sri Ramakrishna order of India. Sri Ramakrishna was Swami Vivekananda’s preceptor. He was a worshipper of Divine Mother Kaali, and was initiated into non-dual vedanta by Tota Puri.
