The Baranagar Math occupies a singularly unique place in the history of the Ramakrishna Order. It is the first monastery of the Ramakrishna Order where, the disciples of the Master performed intense spiritual disciplines and austerities after his passing. This booklet describes the early days of the fledgling Order at the Baranagar Math.
