The topic for the 2019 Memorial day event was “THEME – UNIVERSAL SPIRITUAL HUMANISM: SWAMI VIVEKANANDA AND AMERICA’S SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION”. (Celebrating the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Historic Chicago Addresses at the First World’s Parliament of Religions in 1893).
The speakers were Philip Goldberg, author of American Veda and other books, Pravrajika Brahmaprana, resident minister of the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Texas in Dallas, which is affiliated with the Vedanta Society of Southern California and Swami Tattwamayananda, Minister-in-charge, Vedanta Society of Northern California.
