Swami Chetanananda is a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order, which he joined in 1960. Since 1980 he has been the minister in charge of the Vedanta Society of St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. He is a prolific writer and has written, translated, and edited many books in English, Bengali, and Sanskrit.
