Swami Vivekananda: Disciples and Related Writings

The relationship between Swami Vivekananda and Sister Nivedita has been enigmatic to some and unknown to many. The author has beautifully depicted their spiritual relationship along with giving an insight into what Swami Vivekananda expected of Sister Nivedita in her Indian work. Always refering to herself as friend of Swami Vivekananda, Josephine McLeod encouraged and supported him throughout his early struggles in the West. She actively participated in the early trials and triumphs of the Ramakrishna Movement in many places in the world. An International Seminar and Parliament of Religions were held as part of the concluding function of the celebration of Swami Vivekananda's 150th birth anniversary held at the Belur monastery - the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Order- in Januray, 2014.
