The distinguishing feature of the book is that the six Vedangas and the four Upangas are dealt with more elaborately than the four Vedas themselves. There are few books that discusses so succinctly all the Vedangas -- Siksha, vyakarana, cchandas, nirukta, jyotisha and kalpa.
