The author worked with American Indian people for over thirty years.  His sensitive and unique book provides a narrative spoken directly by Native Americans themselves about their lives, rituals and perspectives of the past and present and their hopes for the future.  Photographs of native people, rituals, art and landscapes make for an interesting read.
