Swami Vivekananda could visualize the coming of his western admirers and consumed as he was with India’s uplift, he desired a healthy exchange of ideas between the East and the West. Mayavati was selected as the venue and the sublime Himalayas formed the backdrop for the scene of cultural integration. Mayavati Ashrama takes pride in its association with such a noble cause and in spreading the enlightening ideas of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda and Vedanta through its journal Prabuddha Bharata and publication of books. The Advaita Ashrama at Mayavati, came into existence in March 1899 and has steadily continued to abide by the directions given by Swamiji.
The story of Mayavati Ashrama is replete with interesting incidents and anecdotes from the lives of monastics and dedicated devotees who sacrificed their all in answer to Swami Vivekananda’s call. A collection of 18 articles, compiled and edited by Swami Satyapriyananda.

The conversations the Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Devi had had with her disciples and devotees have been compiled in the book 'The Gospel of Holy Mother'. A booklet in Tamil containing the date-wise compilation of her teachings selected from the Gospel was published earlier. The present book is an English version of that booklet with some modifications.

Prabuddha Bharata, the monthly journal of the Ramakrishna Order, was started by Swami Vivekananda in July 1896. The present volume is its 125th anniversary commemorative publication.
The Vol. 1 consists of four parts: Part 1 comprises of articles written by the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna; Part 2 consists of articles written by some of the second-generation monks of the Ramakrishna Order; Part 3 consists of articles written by some of the prominent Indian nationalist leaders; and the Part 4 consists of writings of some other eminent thinkers.
