After studying at Oxford with C.S. Lewis, his tutor and close friend, rediscovering the meaning of the Bible and of Christianity, Griffiths became a Roman Catholic monk and moved to India, where he established an ashram. The community was made up of persons of different faiths, but united in their desire to know the Truth.
