The whole universe is one. There is only one Self in the universe, only one Existence, and that one Existence, when it is passing through the forms of time, space, and causation, is called Intelligence, Self-consciousness, fine matter, gross matter, etc. All physical and mental forms, everything in the universe is that one, appearing in various ways.
He had no other idea of himself, no other except that he was Spirit. He was disembodied, unfettered, unbound Spirit. And not only so, but he, with his marvelous vision, had found that every man and woman, whether Jew or gentile, whether rich or poor, whether saint or sinner, was the embodiment of the same undying Spirit as himself.
